Welcome...

Welcome to this blog that I created to share some info, photos, and details about my 1954 Custom Chevy that is for sale. I have owned the car since 1999 and drove the car in its original state for a few years and then decided to build a custom. The car runs excellent. Only 3,300 miles on the freshly bored .40 over 350 cid V8 motor. Sitting in the Lincoln power seats, cruising down the interstate or on a back road, you will appreciate how well this car rides. The car is capable of being driven anywhere, but is meant as a real mans hot rod (no wipers or power steering). The rearend is a Trans Am posi unit and everything else rolls on the original low mile frame. Brakes are drum with new cylinders and shoes. Brakes so well that I decided to not add discs.

Browse this blog for tons of photos, info, and details about the custom work on this COOL machine!

Thanks for dropping by...

Some Questions Answered...

Just wanted to take some time to answer some of the questions I've been asked recently and discuss a few things...

To keep the smooth look, I chose not to add wipers or side mirrors.

Q: Is that pitted metal or rust on the grille?
A: No... I repeat... NO. I started with driver chrome quality but wanted a different look. I dechromed most of the car and went for an aggressive look by adding more grille teeth and Rhino lining the grille.

Q: Does it have a bench seat in the front?
A: The seats are Lincoln power seats recently reupholstered. They are bench style but are split and powered seperately.

Q: What does the trunk look like?
A: Simple and clean.

Q: What does it look like under the car?
A: Clean... here are a couple photos of the under carriage.

The custom fuse box and guage (gas and voltage) panel is located in the glove box.

She's SMOOTH....

The headers feed to a collector and run through the side pipes with one inlet (the other side pipe inlets are for aesthetics.

but not perfect...

1954 before the BIG transformation from Maybelle to Mayhem!

Here's what the 1954 looked like the day I bought it... she was already in GREAT shape (I actually drove it this way for several years) but the "Maybelle" look had to go...
